ABOUT THE ARTIST //
Teo Hernandez DuVall, also known as Little Corvus, is a Seattle-based Chicane illustrator, comic artist, and designer whose work explores identity, community, and the liminal spaces where everyday life meets the fantastical. Drawing from his Mexican heritage and his queer and trans identities, he creates immersive images rich with atmosphere, color, and emotion. His work celebrates beauty, tenderness, and connection while telling stories that feel both grounded and dreamlike.
He received a BFA in Cartooning from the School of Visual Arts and has worked with publishers including Abrams, Dark Horse, Penguin Random House, and Levine Querido. His illustrations are recognized for their lush palettes, contemplative storytelling, and commitment to portraying beauty, tenderness, and strength in all forms.
Teo was nominated for an Eisner Award in 2017 for his work on Stela's webcomic Deja Brew. Since then, he has illustrated numerous graphic novels and anthology projects, including The Bridge (written by Peter J. Tomasi), Electrum, Noisemakers, Young Men in Love, and Drawn to Change the World. He also illustrated the Webtoon adaptation of Patrick Flores-Scott's American Road Trip and has created cover artwork for a variety of queer young adult novels.
His graphic novel Brooms, written by Jasmine Walls, received widespread critical acclaim and earned starred reviews from Publishers Weekly, Booklist, and The Bulletin of the Center for Children's Books. He is currently illustrating Kacen Callender's debut graphic novel, Theo's Guide to Being a Guy, coming spring 2027.
Teo lives and works in Seattle, where the Pacific Northwest continues to shape his work. He is represented by Alli Hellegers of Stimola Literary Studio.
